Adjustable volume

The volume of mp3-player or the CD player can be adjusted. The sounds start off loudly and then can fade away. It has been proven that babies will often wake up when the sound ends abruptly (e.g. turning off a hairdryer). By the using the ‘Einschlafwunder’, parents have the possibility to gradually reduce the volume of the sound. However, the sound will begin to fade out slowly, after about 15mins, which means parents can simply rely on the recording to do the work for them.

Always on hand

The ‘Einschlafwunder’ is conveniently portable. You can use the mp3 version on your mp3 player with speakers or on your mobile, while you can use the CD in your stereo system or car. It is well suited for use on an iPod or iPhone. Important: we suggest you use the flight mode, when using your mobile so your baby is not disturbed by incoming calls or exposed to radio waves.

You may legally make copies for your own personal use. This means you can keep several copies of the ‘Einschlafwunder’ in different places, for example one CD in the car, one with the grandmother, and the mp3 on your phone. You can even take it with you on holiday.
Wherever your baby needs rest and that feeling of home, you will have this help on hand.

Scientifically proven effective

Dr. Harvey Karp and other ‘baby whisperers’ have discovered a ‘calming reflex’. A constant and relatively loud soothing sound induces a sleeping reflex in babies. The reflex originates from the mother’s womb which is anything but quiet. Dr. Harvey Karp claims that here it can be louder than a vacuum cleaner and the baby is therefore accustomed to being engulfed by many sounds. Therefore, by simulating this familiar pre-birth environment, the sleeping reflex in the baby is triggered.

Since the sound level in the womb can reach 70 decibels, it is understandable that the new-born can react irritated when the familiar noise suddenly vanishes after birth. Research has proved that the sounds which are similar to those in the womb can calm the pulse and the breathing of the baby. This is also true for familiar sounds, e.g. melodies, which were played before the birth and then played again afterwards. It is this calmness and relaxation that makes falling asleep quicker.

Relaxes parent and baby

Of course your little treasure does not seek to torture you intentionally. However their environment is simply too new. They have still to learn the difference between night and day. Until now, everything was easy for the baby. It was constantly supplied with food and lived in a protected environment with the soothing sounds from its mother (even when she was asleep).

The first nine months, and while the baby is breastfeeding, are the hardest. The ‘Einschlafwunder’ CD helps the parents as well as the baby. While the baby would be completely content with just the Hairdryer-CD, parents have reported that this sounds disturbs them, makes them aggressive and keeps them from sleeping. Therefore we have created further ‘Einschlafwunder’ CDs.
